Schools are the backbone of the ECCC. All MTB races are conceptualized, developed, and put on by teams (or partnering teams), with the aid of the ECCC team.
If you have an interest in hosting a race, please reach out to our MTB Coordinator by March to ensure you're included in the entire planning process.
Once you express interest, you'll be added to a Google Sheet to plan the race.
By March 25th, you should have a basic plan, including the team of people working on the race, what dates you would like to have the race on, and a basic idea of what venues are out there, and what sorts of events you can run.
During the ECCC conference meeting in the spring, we'll discuss the various race bids, and finalize the schedule.
You must participate in this meeting to host a race - be sure you send at least one person.
With a concrete date on the calendar, it's now up to your team to finalize your plans, and get basic commitments from the venue.
If you brought multiple options in your bid, you will need to finalize on a single plan.
You don't need every single thing locked down, such as the exact EMT covering the race, but you should have a plan of attack.
Once you submit your final proposal, the ECCC will review everything one last time to ensure things all look good.
With final acceptance, you enter the final stage of race preparation. There are a lot of small deadlines to finalize different bits of information.
See the ECCC provided materials to ensure you are staying up to date!
